How it Works

Lessons, the way they should be.

Coaching at That Golf Place is built around the same tools tour pros use: Foresight Falcon launch monitors, GSPro simulation software, and 4K projection inside private bays. No range balls, no weather delays, no waiting on the next group. Just data, repetition, and a coach who knows what to do with it.

Private bays, your schedule.

Bays are bookable from 4 AM to midnight, every day. Lessons happen in your bay, on your time, with a real instructor reading real ball data.

Tour-level data on every swing.

Club path, face angle, attack angle, smash factor, spin axis. Every shot is measured. Coaches use the numbers to teach, not to overwhelm.

Year-round, weather-proof.

January in Westmont is no different from July. Members work on their game while everyone else waits for spring.

Independent, expert coaches.

Both Andrew and Jim are independent teaching professionals with their own home clubs. We host them, we do not employ them. You work directly with the coach you choose.

Frequently Asked

Coaching, in plain English.

Are the coaches employed by That Golf Place?
No. Andrew Farrand and Jim Festle are independent teaching professionals who teach out of our facility. Lesson rates and scheduling are set by each coach. We are happy to make the introduction.
Do I need to be a TGP member to take a lesson?
No. Both coaches teach members and non-members alike. Members get preferred bay access when scheduling lessons. Non-members can still book a bay and a lesson together.
What should I bring to my first lesson?
Your clubs, athletic clothing, and clean indoor shoes. The bay is climate-controlled, so dress for indoor temperatures. We provide everything else.
How long is a typical lesson?
Most lessons run sixty minutes, though both coaches offer thirty- and ninety-minute formats depending on what you are working on. New students often start with a longer session for a full assessment.
Can I book lessons for my child?
Yes. Both coaches teach juniors. Andrew has extensive junior development experience through Hinsdale Golf Club, and Jim has worked with adult-onset and youth players for years. Reach out and we will match you with the right fit.
