That Golf Place

About

The story behind the club.

Two founders. One idea they couldn't let go. That Golf Place exists because Pulkit and Sid built the club they'd been looking for.

Why We Built This

The club we wished existed.

Westmont has great golfers. What it didn’t have, until now, was a members’ golf lounge that treated the game with the seriousness it deserves, year-round. For years, local golfers had two options when the weather turned: put the clubs away until spring, or make the drive to a big-box simulator bar that felt more like a bowling alley than a clubhouse.

Pulkit lives in Westmont, Sid is in Chicago, and both are passionate about golf. They wanted private bays, real launch data, tour-level hardware, and a space that felt like a proper club, not a franchise. They found the right space on Chicago Ave, built the setup they'd want to play in every day, and opened the doors to the community.

That Golf Place serves golfers across Westmont, Downers Grove, Hinsdale, Oak Brook, Darien, and Clarendon Hills. Membership is capped by design. The experience doesn't scale, and that's entirely the point.

Recognition

Westmont Community Improvement Award.

Awarded by the Westmont Chamber of Commerce

In 2026, the Westmont Chamber of Commerce honored That Golf Place with its Community Improvement Award, recognizing the club's contribution to the village's commercial corridor and its commitment to building something lasting for local golfers.

The Founders

Built by people who play.

Pulkit

Co-Founder

Pulkit grew up in the Hinsdale area and went to Hinsdale Central High School. He co-founded That Golf Place to bring a serious, private golf experience to the western suburbs and was involved in every detail of the club's build, from the technology stack to the materials on the walls.

Sid

Co-Founder

Sid grew up in Naperville and went to Neuqua Valley High School. He co-founded That Golf Place with a conviction that a great club is defined by its members and its attention to detail, not its size. He's the person who makes sure the experience lives up to the promise.

What We Stand For

Four things we won't compromise on.

Craft over gimmick.

We chose the Foresight Falcon because it's the best tool for the game, not because it photographs well. Every decision at TGP starts with what's right for the golfer.

Members before metrics.

We cap membership because we refuse to overextend. A smaller club means every member is known, every bay is respected, and the experience stays consistent.

Local, always.

We're a Westmont club. We serve DuPage County golfers. We don't have ambitions to become a chain. This is the place we wanted, for the community we're part of.

Play on, rain or shine.

Open from 4 AM to midnight, every day of the year. Weather doesn't close the bays. Life doesn't have an off-season here.

Community

Rooted in Westmont.

Pulkit lives in Westmont and Sid is in Chicago. Their friends, families, and regular playing partners are here in Westmont, Downers Grove, Hinsdale, Oak Brook, Darien, and Clarendon Hills. That Golf Place isn't a destination for the western suburbs; it's part of them. The club was built for the people who drive these roads every day and have been waiting for something exactly like this.
